Luckily, Souji happened to be awake and managed to read the text right away. Hijikata seems to have lucked out this time because the last time Souji received a text from any of the swords was the Toiletkata pic a la Yamato. He does recognize the sender but the context of the message puzzles him. He doesn't take too long to text the sword

WELL, COOL. He'd been trying to avoid at least some of the Soujis that have been popping up like spring daisies lately, but apparently fate's like "nah, haha". Dragging more in, redirecting his texts-- Yeah, it's totally not his fault at all that this one was sent to the wrong Souji. Totally not.

After confirming that his last text was sent, Souji is out the door. A certain demon vice commander is confirmed to still be up at this late hour but luckily Souji is able to slip out easily without being noticed.

But yes, the cake inside the box is definitely not a castella cake... It's a plain white sheet cake with raspberry jam in between the layers, but the top has been decorated very nicely with pretty white frosting and little flowers made of icing and those sparkly edible beads.]
